Photos of dignitaries that graced Oba Oniru's 75th Birthday gig

Oba Abiodun Idowu Oniru celebrated his 75th birthday and 18th anniversary coronation 8th September at the Palace of the King in Victoria Island.  

In appreciation of traditional monarchs contribution to the development of Iru Victoria Island local government area and Lagos in general, Chief Abayomi Muyideen Daramola has given out two Kia Jeeps to Oba Idowu Abiodun Oniru and Oba Yinusa Ayeni Onisiwo and Toyota Hiace to the Iru chieftaincy committee.



In the full glare of the public, the jeeps were presented to each of the monarch during the 75th anniversary of Oba Idowu Abiodun Oniru which also witnessed the installation of Chief (Mrs) Funmilayo Daramola, wife of the chairman, as the Alaje Wura of Iru Land.

Guests included Governor Raji Fashola, Deputy Governor of Lagos, King Ooni of Ife (Oba Okunade Sijuade), Oba of Lagos (Rilwan Akinolu), Dr Aliko Dangote, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, Chief Olamilekan Dosunmu (Oba Dosunmu), Rafiu Akanni Olohunwa and wife (Laide), Yusuf Ashafa, Seyi Ogunde, Muiz Banire, Commissioner for environment (Honourable Tunji Bello), Honourable Funmi Tejuosho,all Eti-Osa Local Government Chairman, the children and grand children of Oba Oniru and others, while the King of Fuji, K1 was there to entertain.
